Once Upon A Time...
An ambitious wolf pack settled in a region that had never before seen wolves. This land was vast, and filled with game enough for twenty packs; the wolves looked forward to their new lives, hoping someday other packs would join them here. Across the river from their claimed territory, was the most beautiful forest any had ever seen. The bark was a soft, creamy white, the leaves a silvery green. They avoided this forest, for it felt wrong to them, and kept themselves to the fine lands on their side of the river. Lone wolves soon learned of the pack's migration, and the curious came to see this land. Excited by their discovery, they leapt to spread the news of this new, bountiful world to the other packs. But when these wolves returned, the first pack was gone, without a trace. There were no scent trails, no prints on the ground, no nothing. Frightened, the wolves fled back to their safe homelands.
In A Kingdom Far Far Away...
Many generations of wolves have passed since the First Pack settled at the side of the White Forest, and although wolves remember the tale, few believe it. Oh, they believe that the forest exists, and they believe a pack of wolves did settle there, but they do not believe they vanished. No, they left, for some mysterious reason, and found even better lands. Or perhaps they returned to their homelands. Nowadays, you can find three packs settled on the edges of the White Forest. The Gryphon Pack have the finest hunters you could hope for. The Wyvern Pack are warriors to be reckoned with. The Phoenix Pack is renowned for the speed of their wolves. There is one problem though; these three packs cannot stand to share this land. It doesn't help that they've discovered the secret of the White Forest. If a stranger were to happen upon any of these packs, they would be terrified by the appearances of some of the wolves; they would be even more frightened to discover the abilities a few of them possess. Because if you enter the White Forest, and you are found to be pure of heart, you will find the heart of the Forest, and with it, the First Pack. They are gods here; immortal, powerful, and blessed with the ability to share their powers. It isn't something everyone can have; the First Pack watches every wolf that enters their forest, and they judge them. Only if they deem you worthy, will you be gifted with a power, but it has become something the packs strive for.
