Luis “Lulu” UlaThe Grease Monkey
RACE,Human
GENDER,Male
AGE,20
SEXUALITY,Hetero
POSITION,Engineer
PERSONALITY,Lulu is as honest as the day is long; he easily feels guilty and so tells the truth almost unnecessarily. He has a generally hyper, eager to do whatever task is at hand, though despite this he is a very patient person. Part of his patience is due to the fact that he hates to be alone; he would rather wait for others to be ready then to rush out on his own. Coupling with his sociable behavior he is completely over-reliant on others. Though he loves company it is more an obsessive need than a nicety. Should he be left alone for too long he becomes edgy and jumpy; a complete wreck and so he will wander with complete strangers, favorable or unsavory alike in order to keep himself around people.
Of course, he is a tad naïve. He finds immense pleasure in anything new and strange, a childish glee surrounding him with the need to take it apart to understand it better. He’s self-indulgent, concentrating on his own pleasures often forgetting, if only briefly, others feelings on the matter; after all, if he likes it, why shouldn’t everybody? To anyone, old friends and strangers, it is obvious that Lulu is a hard worker with a passion for anything he might be up to. He is persevering, always pushing past the troubles he might face and working towards that end goal.
Gullible is almost not enough to define Lulu’s undying trust in man kind. He will believe anything from anyone. This may in part be because he himself is so overt to lying he doesn’t often stop to think that others might not feel the same or it could be his fatalistic beliefs. It was taught to him early on that the Goddesses had a plan for everything and everyone and that no matter our actions or how hard a choice may seem that the outcome was always the one that was meant to happen. That our lives are predetermined and nothing we do changes that, everything is always as it as meant to be.
APPEARANCE,Luis is a younger looking man with an agile build standing around five foot five inches tall. While his hair is a dirty blond, the uneven lengths falling at longest to his chin, his skin as a contrasting copper tan. He features are boyish at best with a small nose and smiling lips, big green eyes starring at everything. While he is on the shorter side of the male spectrum his limbs are long and his muscles only mildly defined. His palms and the soles are calloused, a sign of his hard work despite his rather… flamboyant garbs.
Lulu is a man of intricate nature and he would be loath to wear something undecorated so he created a three comb design to adorn a few small places over his outfit. His chest is covered by a strange shirt that in all essence looks like a loose tube of azurite blue, but it is far more eloquently detailed then that. The top hem holds the shirt tight against his chest and is attached to crisscrossing “ribbons” that meet at the center of his back and chest, clasped there by two identical medallions with his tri-comb symbol. The “ribbons” form straps of sorts for the shirt and connect to a third tri-comb medallion at the center of his belt. The bottom half of his shirt is a bit strange in shape, the front portion cuts off at his belt and splits to the side creating an almost regal, tail-coat look to the back. His arms are almost completely covered by dark, charcoal colored gloves which are fairly tight up to his elbow before they loosen a bit and then fold over at his mid-upper arm. The fold is pinned to the rest of the glove by three tri placed black buttons and to finishing them off two identical bracelets hug both his wrists, they are of a golden color and decorated only by the Tri-comb embossed on the upside.
His pants are loose fitting giving them a “puffy” appearance around his thighs and knees. A strip of tighter fitting fabric hems the bottom holding the pants closed about his upper calf. They are a simple charcoal in color with a strip of golden yellow fabric traveling from top to bottom and another around his knee forming something of a cross there. His shoes have a thin rubber sole to make them more flexible and the cloth casing is loose fitting with a low and wide brim. The heel is a creamy white color, the sides being of the same charcoal as his pants while the top his covered by the fine looking golden yellow. Two more items finish off this outfit, one of them is a small, hard pouch attached to the back of his belt and the other being a scarf which is a dull black with the ends decorated by the tri-comb symbol. It wraps twice about his neck loosely with one tail hanging to the left of him and the other flowing freely behind. As for that nice little pouch, its hard surface is covered by coarse, tanned canvas and inside his most precious possessions are kept.
NON-MAGIC,Desert Rose- Tucked away safely at the bottom of his pouch is a rather unimportant bit of rock known as gypsum rose- a rock that under the harsh conditions of the desert grew to form short petal like edges the overall effect making the rock look like a blossoming rose. He keeps it solely as a sentimental trinket.
Tools of the Trade- He always carries the basic tools of his trade, a heavily used wrench, a screw driver, and a few other tools of that nature.
MAGIC,Forced Arm(magical)- Focusing a small amount of energy he can concentrate a good deal of power to his arms and hands. This ability practically doubles his strength therefore regular attacks or movements either take half as much effort or do deal double the damage.
RACIAL ABILITIES,
Dexterity- Humans have a natural, higher dexterity, they are not as fragile as their Hylian counterparts and can withstand a little more physically.
Healer-Capable of healing minor wounds, scrapes and bruises. Takes one post, three post cooldown.
WEAPONS,
Force Blade The length of the sword from tip to pommel is around four and a half feet long. The blade is thick, about half a foot, with a smooth, sharp edge on one side and a blunt side almost the whole length excluding about a foot near the base where it is serrated. The hilt is a bit strange as it is not exactly centered, the cross guard loops about into a ‘C’ shape, the actual hilt being detached from the cross. The strange shape gives him a unique grip that allows him to wield the blade in a more serpentine manner.
Pop Bomb- Hidden in the confines of the hard pouch attached to his belt is a surplus of what looks to be polished, but un shaped obsidian. Though not one of the pieces is the same in shape they are all roughly the size of a golf ball, fitting easily into the palm of his hand. Though these are no ordinary chunks of rock, not in the least bit, the hard stone is simply a casing for the volatile ingredients inside. By exposing them to a forceful move –i.e. throwing them at a hard object- said ingredients become seriously unstable and cause a surmountable explosion (taking a sizable chunk out of a tree or making a small crater the size of a badger in the ground, etc.).
HISTORY,
Luis was born in Kakariko village to a fix-it man and his homely wife. He was an only child until Cale joined him after little over a year. His younger brother could have very well been Lulu’s twin, the two acting almost identically. When he was four and just beginning to read and write with no significant advancements yet another pair of siblings joined him. Twin boys, Zachariah and Leo were nothing short of yin and yang even from birth. Lulu was fascinated by the new comers, poking the boys soft little skulls, watching with wide eyes as they started to cry, his mother promptly showing up to shoo him away before rocking the little ones back to sleep.
As Luis grew from a toddler with Cale right behind him, the two learning such simple things as reading and writing, math and basic geography as was taught by their mother. When not doing “lessons” they were wrestling each other, wandering the red, dusty streets of Kakariko, or following around their father. While Cale seemed relatively uninterested in his fathers tinkering, Luis was down right obsessed with it. He watched and watched as the man fixed that wheel or welded this axel, everything was new and exciting and at a ripe age of his own the boy started to tinker himself.
When he was six his last sibling joined them, a little girl though as the lot grew older she proved to be just as rough, if not more so, than her brothers. Maybe it was that he was older now or perhaps it was because she was a girl, Luis loved taking care of Leanne in anyway he could. Occasionally his mother would let him feed her, if her dolls ever tore he stitched them back up with the simple sewing he’d learned, and at one point he had even made her a small little wooden horse, with the help of his father, for her to ‘ride’. The family was well enough off, not terribly poor, but certainly not high society either. In such a small place it wasn’t massive intellect or pompous nature that got you anywhere, it was hard work and a good understanding of your business and as Luis grew that’s what he got.
In his mid-teens he began officially working along side his father, being left jobs of his own and occasionally traveling to do less movable repairs. He became well known as a great worker, everyone he helped satisfied with the work he did because, as they’d say, “he has heart.” While his younger brothers did a little work around the shop they didn’t have Lulu’s enthusiasm for the menial labor and this gave him the edge, but even with his dedication for the job he always found down time for sparing or indulging in his somewhat secret hobby; flower sketching.
Now just over twenty he’s practically taken over his old man’s business as he’s become just that, an old man. His father still putters around the shop doing small fixes, but all the heavy lifting and traveling his left to Luis and his brothers. It’s a simple life, but a relaxing one.
